Discover how artificial intelligence can make everyday tasks easier, support your work or study, and help you feel more confident using new technology.

This beginner-friendly course introduces you to artificial intelligence in a practical and easy-to-understand way. You will explore popular AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, learn how to write effective prompts, and practise using AI for everyday, study and workplace tasks.

No previous experience with artificial intelligence is required. The course is delivered over 4 weeks face-to-face with step-by-step guidance and plenty of opportunities to practise using AI tools.

What will I gain from the course?

By the end of the course, you will have a practical foundation in artificial intelligence and greater confidence using AI tools for everyday, study and workplace purposes.

You will also develop digital, literacy and employability skills through hands-on activities, group discussions and guided practice.

What should I bring?

Please bring:

  • Your mobile phone
  • Access to a personal email address, as this may be needed to create or access AI platforms

Computers will be used during the course. Please contact DVLC before enrolling if you require additional digital support.

Full Fee: Applies to those who do not qualify for government funding, ie. overseas residents and school students
