Peter Walton is a Melbourne based photographer with a lifetime of professional experience. He is acknowledged as one of Australia’s finest landscape photographers. He’s been romancing Australia with his camera for well over 40 years. His iconic images have been widely used by advertising agencies, the travel industry, in Australian landscape calendars and coffee table books.
As a teenager he became hooked on the magic of creating images and decided to make photography his full-time profession and eventually set up his own studio in South Melbourne. He studied advertising at RMIT in order to promote his new venture. It was a decision that led to many amazing photo opportunities. When digital photography arrived he set up Australia’s first digital image library, Australian Scenics. It proved very successful and led to him being awarded numerous international travel assignments.
