XERO For Beginners

Welcome to DVLC’s Xero for Beginners course! Our comprehensive course is designed to teach you the basics of Xero accounting software, no matter your experience level. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, freelancer, or just starting your own business, our course will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to efficiently manage your business finances.

Our qualified CPA trainer will guide you through the features of Xero, helping you to navigate through the program with ease. You will learn how to set up a business, create and send invoices, process payments, perform bank reconciliations, and complete a Business Activity Statement. Additionally, you will be able to manage your payroll, including creating and processing a pay run and managing timesheets and leave applications.

Course Content

Our Xero for Beginners course covers the following topics:

• Setting up Xero and accessing the Help Centre to solve queries
• Understanding Users and Permission
• Adding, deleting, and archiving Chart of Accounts
• Create, edit, void, and send invoices
• Processing payments, receipts, and bank reconciliation
• Create a bill and apply payments
• Payroll settings and process a pay run
• Prepare Business Activity Statement

XERO is used in many small businesses and the course helps those in small business do their own books or widens employment skills.

Learn the fundamentals of XERO to develop skills for self employment, employment or study accredited bookkeeping

Materials Fee of $19.95 (Optional)

Funded Fee: Applies to Australian or New Zealand Citizens, Holder of an Australian permanent visa, An Asylum seeker holding a valid visa that confers eligibility for Skills First training.

Concession Fee: Applies only to holders of a current Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran’s Gold Card

Full Fee: Applies to those who do not qualify for government funding, ie. overseas residents and school students

Make payment in full on enrolment either by cash, credit card or EFTPOS. In some circumstances, it is possible to arrange a payment plan. Conditions apply.

To finalise your enrolment, you will be asked to present your Medicare card, Drivers License and Concession Card (if applicable) at reception for us to sight and photocopy.  This is for proof of Australian residence purposes.
