Welcome to DVLC’s Floristry Beginners Course! This 8-week floristry course is designed to help you learn the basic skills of floral arrangement in a fun and friendly environment. Our inspiring and friendly tutor will guide you through the process of creating different flower arrangements every week, giving you hands-on experience in flower care and arrangement techniques. By the end of the floristry course, you’ll have the confidence and skills to create beautiful pieces for your home, a special event, or to give to friends and family. Classes are run one day per week for two hours.

There is a 3-week term break for the September Intake after week four.

Course Content

You will complete a different arrangement each week and learn to create beautiful pieces for your home, a special event or to give to friends and family.

Below are the different arrangements that you will be learning in this floristry course:

  1. Oval Table Arrangement
  2. Corsage, Buttonhole & Flower Crown
  3. Hand Tied Bouquet & Wrapping
  4. Single Colour (Monochromatic) Arrangement
  5. Triangular Front Facing Arrangement
  6. Flower Arrangement Using Kenzan/Flower Spike
  7. Wreath Base
  8. Vase Arrangement

Funded Fee: Applies to all Australian or New Zealand Citizens, Holder of an Australian permanent visa, An Asylum seeker holding a valid visa that confers eligibility for Skills First training.

Concession Fee: Applies only to holders of a current Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran’s Gold Card

Full Fee: Applies to those who do not qualify for government funding, ie. overseas residents and school students

Fees include weekly flowers for 8 weeks
