Auslan (sign language) is the language of the Australian deaf community. This course is aimed at those who have completed the Sign Language for Beginners course and would like to expand their knowledge. The course cover signs used in the workplace, education, medical, transport, travel and more. Each student will have relevant scenarios applicable to their situation and you can expect to learn the more common signs available.
This course is aimed at expanding your Auslan knowledge to include signs covering the workplace, education, medical, transport, travel and more. It is by no means all-inclusive Auslan instruction where you will learn all the signs relevant to each subject matter. Each student will have relevant scenarios applicable to their situation and on this basis, you can expect to learn the more common signs available.
Completion of Sign Language Beginners course or a basic understanding of Auslan.
Basic: $250 (Basic fee: $65 + Materials & Admin: $185)
Concession Fee: $235* (Conc fee: $50 + Materials & Admin: $185)
Full Fee: $410 (for those who do not qualify for government funding, ie. overseas residents or school students)
*Concession fee applies only if you have a current Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran’s Gold Card.

To finalise your enrolment, you will be asked to present your Medicare card at reception for us to sight and photocopy. This is for proof of Australian residence purposes. Concession card holders will also need to present their concession card.
