ACE Award

Diamond Valley Learning Centre won the 2007 Victorian Outstanding Adult Community Education Organisation Award.

The Outstanding ACE Organisation Award recognises outstanding achievement in all aspects of the delivery of adult community education.

The judges were looking for: 

1. Creativity and innovation in Adult Community Education Provision
   • New ideas to improve ACE programs and initiatives adopted
   • Recognition from others for creativity
2. Organisational effectiveness and integration into the local community
3. Effective partnerships with other organisations
   • Responsiveness to the learning needs and interests of the local community
   • Leadership in establishing community partnerships and responses to local needs

The Victorian Government presents these awards to celebrate the outstanding achievements of both individuals and organisations in building stronger communities across the state through providing high quality and accessible adult community education.  The ACE sector provides and important role in providing skills, qualifications and greater employment opportunities for Victorians.
